The service of Tenebrae is a very moving Biblical meditation.
We gather around a candelabra in the shape of a cross as evening falls. The only light comes from the candles, and we listen to the story of Jesus’s betrayal. After each denial, each betrayal, a candle is snuffed out. We pray for all who have been betrayed, all who live in darkness.
