St John’s Essendon is a congregation of the Uniting Church in Australia

We are committed to quality worship and serious engaging of issues of living out the faith in the contemporary world.  A high value is placed upon pastoral care of the congregation and we are exploring ways of strengthening the ‘group life’ of the congregation.   Service to the wider community is also offered, including emergency assistance, the Friendship Club for elderly people and support programs of the wider church.  Serious baptism and marriage preparation is provided.  Many members of the congregation are involved in community service and action for justice and peace.
